Nine People, Jockey's Ridge, Outer Banks, NC by Norm Bell
Jockey’s Ridge, the highest sand dunes on the East Coast, is located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In good weather, the dunes are crowded with people flying kites, hang gliding, or hiking. However, on cold days, they are relatively desolate places. This morning it was thirty-seven degrees, overcast, and windy. The only other people on this particular dune were nine people attempting to cross the dune. They made an interesting composition that gave the feeling of isolation and the raw nature of the day.
